“Germany’s first IT comedian” ... this is how the established computer magazine CHIP described the accomplished IT specialist, computer expert and professional speaker on hacking – because Schroedel has the unique ability to explain the depths of complex IT systems, the methods of hackers and dry data protection requirements in a simple and easily understandable way, even for non-technical audiences.
His trademark: fun is never neglected – in his entertaining talks full of aha moments, humor shines through every bit and byte.
He is a trained IT specialist, developed international IT solutions and security concepts and worked for many years as a “Computer Science Expert” in a globally operating information and communication technology corporation.
Tobias Schroedel became widely known to the public through his appearances on the TV show “stern TV” and his successful podcast “Ich glaube, es hackt!”, covering cutting-edge cybersecurity topics and everything related to smartphones, computers and the internet – as always, spiced with clever wordplay.
"I was actually about to leave. Luckily, I stayed!"
— Participant, Nuremberg"Unbelievable! IT security can actually be fun."
— Anne L., Berlin"I’ve rarely laughed so much and still learned something!"
— Dániel K., Budapest"My employees did not even notice it was a training!"
— Organizer, Hamburg
A LIVE visit to the darknet. Watch and understand how cybercriminals operate, see who is being attacked RIGHT NOW and how you can protect yourself and your company. (EXPAND)
A talk like a thriller! The biggest current threat to companies are cybercriminals who first steal data, then encrypt it and ultimately demand “ransom”. If you don’t pay, contracts, emails and other trade secrets end up on the internet – visible to everyone. Follow Tobias Schroedel on a journey through the dark side of the net. Look over the shoulders of ransomware gangs in the darknet – LIVE. We see how these gangs are organized, how much money is involved and who is being blackmailed right now, at this very moment. You will be speechless when you discover and sift through millions of stolen data records from victims. Of course, there is also an explanation of how the criminals get into the victim’s corporate network and how you can protect yourself against it. Time flies in this talk! Promised!
Finally understand AI! How to use it and what it is particularly good at. But also where (and why) it fails – and what risks AI entails. (EXPAND)
The slightly different AI talk. This is not just about amazement. In this talk about artificial intelligence, Tobias Schroedel will try out several AI tools live: from ChatGPT to image generators. What can AI do, and why does it sometimes fail at simple tasks? Experience how AI works, learns and “thinks” – and why it actually doesn’t know that a horse has fur and no feathers, but only guesses. After this talk, you will no longer be afraid of AI – but perhaps of those who operate it.
“Ich glaube, es h@ckt!” is the awareness classic. Experience cyberattacks and hacking live – from password crackers and spoofed phone numbers to cloned bosses in video calls. (EXPAND)
The classic and an updated “best of” of all talks – the live hacking show that has already enthused thousands of people all over the world. Tobias Schroedel brings you closer to the world of hackers and takes a look with you into the IT poison cabinet. The topics vary depending on duration. From password crackers to caller ID spoofing to deepfakes and voice cloning in video conferences – everything is possible. There are not only plenty of “aha” moments here, but just as many “ha-ha” moments. An awareness training of the highest order.
Data protection, social media, what data reveals and much more. (EXPAND)
Further topics in exciting talks include: data protection from a different angle, social media and its dangers for young people, family talks about the digital world and its inventors, readings, as well as moderating conferences or panel discussions. Short talks of around 30 minutes are also possible on deepfakes, data leaks in the darknet, how to do passwords right and many other topics.
All talks can be held either in GERMAN or ENGLISH. I have also frequently worked with simultaneous interpreters after a briefing (e.g. Japanese, Polish).
The length of the talk is flexible and can be adapted to your needs. Especially suitable are (45 or) 60 MINUTES, but 75 (up to 90) MINUTES are also frequently booked. Short talks of around 30 minutes are possible in some cases.
Besides a (headset) MICROPHONE, a PROJECTOR and MOBILE RECEPTION I basically do not need anything else. Please still read the technical requirements, as there are a few important things to note.
IN-PERSON TALKS are unbeatable and unforgettable, but most talks are also well suited as a WEBINAR to inspire your audience.
The talks are real EYE-OPENERS and a LOOK BEYOND THE HORIZON. They are therefore particularly suitable after lunch or at the end of an event.
Since January 2011, Schroedel has explained security gaps and the pitfalls of the internet in clear language in over 115 stern TV shows. The show with Steffen Hallaschka and previously Günther Jauch has been a cornerstone of German television for decades and is one of the last truly live TV shows.
As an IT expert, Schroedel joined Ulrich Meyer’s ErmittlungsAKTE team in 2011 to hunt down criminals. In each episode, two already solved cases were accurately reenacted and the investigators’ methods demonstrated.
Schroedel also gives interviews to other magazines or news programs when something current is happening. These include WiSo, Akte, Explosiv, WDR Markt, RTL Punkt 12 and SAT.1 Magazin, among others.

A book about the heroes, hackers & inventors of the digital world. How do you program a moon landing? Why was the first digital camera hidden? For ages 11 to 99. (2019)
"Why I hacked into a dead girl’s phone at her mother’s request." A reading book about our data. Who owns it and why there are things we do not want, should not and must not know. (2018)
A look at the crazy world of IT security. (4th edition, 2016)

Security awareness is just as important to securing any network as a firewall or a backup. There are numerous options and many CISOs have already used all the classic awareness measures – from web-based trainings and in-person talks to training videos and poster campaigns.
A podcast is something new and reaches people wherever they are: while exercising, cooking or at the workplace. By personalizing the content, e.g. through internal terminology, mentioning the correct hotline number or pointing out exactly where documents are stored in the intranet, employees will recognize themselves in it.
An IntraCast – a personalized podcast – presents your desired content in a relaxed way, is available on practically every device and can be accessed at any time. Even on business trips or on the way home.
